I am Rex Cartagena, a Tech Lead, Platform Architect, and creative technologist specializing in AI-powered systems, immersive and metaverse platforms, and gamified digital experiences across advertising, education, and enterprise training.

Lead Engineer > CTO
I architected the company's core platforms and led cross-functional teams of engineers and product managers to turn concepts into production-ready solutions. I spearheaded the development of Metaverse initiatives, virtual sales enablement tools, training systems, and AI-powered products.
Interaction Developer
I worked on the Adobe Advertising Cloud making different custom ad units for various top clients and brands. I also contributed programming on the Custom Creative code to develop new ad features -including games- and the client facing ad gallery website.
Lead Web Developer
As part of the Entertainment, Sports and News department I worked on rich media ads for CBS, CBS News and CBS Sports. I made the transition from Flash to HTML5 ad templates and I developed new ad units that were approved and published on such websites.
Front End Developer
I worked on programming the UI and new features implementation for the game MLB DreamNine. Plus, I programmed tools for the artist to implement assets easier into the game. Also, I had the honor to work on prototyping new game versions for Contra and Castlevania.
Flash Developer
I worked on the the Facebook game called YoVille, programming new assets and features. Plus, I animated and designed new items into the game, which included mini-games. I also worked on the game FrontierVille programming and managing content.
Web Developer/Designer
I worked on the creative team developing different custom ads for various high profile clients. I had the opportunity to do consulting to advertising agencies and programmed exclusive rich media executions. I also worked on the Flash to HTML5 ad templates transitioning.
Software Engineer
I worked as a UI programmer in a 5 person dev team with John Romero (creator of Doom). We worked on a game called Cloudforest Expedition, which didn’t go live but we re-used the code for Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Commander and Zynga’s Pettington Park, both went live.
Technical Artist/Programmer
Over a year later John Romero re-united the same LootDrop 5 core dev team under another company and we rush worked on two social games featuring music artists. I worked programming and animating the UI assets. I also did consulting to the artist and programmers.
